Charles Van Flaherty is pursuing his BFA in Musical Theatre at NYU Tisch School of the Arts.

​Charles recently wrapped filming a role in an upcoming Apple TV+ series slated to premiere in 2026. In addition, he originated the roles of John André and Benedict in 355! The Musical, which premiered this year at 54 Below in NYC. He is currently featured as a lead vocalist on the show’s newly released debut singles, Point of No Return and The End?.

 

Charles's diverse acting and musical theatre experience - which began at age 5 in A Midsummer Night's Dream - spans a wide range of iconic roles, including: Warner in Legally Blonde, Raoul in The Phantom of the Opera, Peter in Peter & The Starcatcher, Squidward in SpongeBob SquarePants, Hans in Frozen, Christian in Fun Home, and Simba in Lion King.​

Charles has been an accomplished dancer from a very young age. His passion for choreography and leadership has led him to serve as a dance captain and choreographer for numerous performances. In addition to his work in musical theatre, Charles has also showcased his vocal talents through a variety of solo performances. He sang the National Anthem at TD Garden in Boston and performed in various concerts and at notable NYC venues. His musical abilities were recognized early on, earning him honors such as the National School Choral Award and winning the Concerto Competition at Duxbury High School.
